I know that we're all used to the present presentation, a long string of Blogs with attached comments, two side columns; one for ads and links, the other for past posts. Some of the great old posts seem to get buried, some of the daily news items seem to melt into the pot (so to speak) and are hard to review (unless you can remember a good "search" word or phrase).

I don't know if a new website based format can fix these things but I do see it as an opportunity to present more stuff on a clean Home Page with "click here" gizmos on titles to "read more" about the title (such as "breaking news", "Woody Boater (boat) of the...", etc.).

What ever comes will be welcome. I have a feeling that we're all going to love it and welcome it.

Change if you must, but I cannot be an adult.

Well said Texx. This blog that the wonderful irrepressible Mr Smith started has captured a lot more than just those interested in Wooden boats. Its quite truly changed the pattern of my daily life and hundreds of others I'd bet. It's the way Ive begun each day since discovering the blog 3 years ago. If for some reason I'm unable to get to see it its always an exciting thing to look forward to on my return. Woody boater blog has replaced the morning paper the TV news and yesterdays unopened mail in our house. Its connected me here in New Zealand with the world of wooden boats and it has even helped me buy the boat of my dreams at the Mecum Auction. Ive talked to Mat both on the blog and personally over this past year and his enthusiasm is infectious. I have the cap the drink bottle and the t shirt.
I read yesterday that some pointy headed economist at ' Website Outlook' ( the perfect place to evaluate any website ) ranks Woody Boater blog at 13783001 in the world based on traffic and points out that it makes a whopping $2.24 a day. They finish with the news that the Woody Boater blog has an estimated worth of $1635.20.
For us its worth a million times that.

Well, it was quite a year indeed for "on the road" WoodyBoater stories. I think it's admirable that one of the top stories included herein (although not a top 10 one) was a toilet seat related photo.

From the Smith/Wood statue in Algonac to Bay Harbor, The Mikkelson Collection in Minn, the Le Duchesse Houseboat in Clayton to a toilet seat in NJ, WoodyBoater has it all!

Here's to another year with all the great stories that we have learned to enjoy and respect.
