Last Gasp Monday!

I always try to wait for that "perfect" day before the winter lay-up. Today delivered.

This morning was in the low 30's in SW Michigan with a thick layer of  fog on the lake at sunrise.

I ran the boats all day with the lake to myself. Temps reached the 60's by afternoon.

I spent the rest of the day winterizing, cleaning, organizing and packing everything away for the season.
Said goodbye to the girls, shared a cocktail with my father, then closed the barn door.

  1. Is that a cove on the big lake, or a smaller one nearby?

  2. Love that you found an oil changer that just about matches the CC blue of the engine. I'm sure it was planned that way.

  3. Pleasant Lake (Three Rivers, MI) is about 350 acres in size. The picture is taken from the SW corner in the cove of the larger portion of the lake.

  4. I couldn't find an oil changer in post-war blue.
