HopatcongWoodies Launches YouTube Channel.
The folks at the Lake Hopatcong ACBS are on the cutting edge of social media here. This may be the only channel out there not airing a Michael Jackson tribute. So I am not sure how it will do in the ratings game. Maybe a show called "Woody's Gone Wild" would help... Or Wet and Wild Woodies... oh lord that would not get the right viewers....mmm how bout, a remake of "Love Boat" a story of a man and his compulsion to work on his boat all the time....... Wait that's a reality show... Click here to go to the channel

Help Bob With His Book.
Fellow WoodyBoater Bob Matson is writing a book about amazing nautical boat house "finds" and is looking for stories about rare boats that have been "found', rescued and restored, preferably with before and after pictures. If you have, or know of someone that might have a great story, he would love to hear from you. Bob can be reached at rcmely@frontiernet.net The book is entitled, "What's in your boat house?", with the forward written by Dennis Evinrude. Maybe if he is lucky I will edit it! I have spell check...

Plans Already In Place To Restore Michael Jackson.
Yes I know, why not restore Farrah Faucet. Farrah just created wood... Michael Jackson, we associate plastic with him. My point is that he actually can be restored thanks to modern methods. ... Right upon hearing of his untimely death I called several well known Classic Boat restorers and asked what epoxy concoction could we use to bring him back. His ticker could be handled my several well known Motor guys. And I am sure that several of the archivists can look through some old photos to make sure we are on track...OH god, wait....Which Micheal Jackson do we restore? Pre-Thriller, Post Bubbles? Nose, or no nose? The Dianna Ross years, or what. Should we restore him to what the Good lord Factory would have intended as seen in this Artist's Impression of Michael Jackson With out Plastic.

Biggest Balls Award.

We here at WoodyBoater have decided to hand out our first Biggest Balls Award to Fellow WoodyBoater David for unbelievable courage and trust regarding his recent fishing trip. David owns and has restored his wonderful Ski Skiff. He just rebuilt the motor this spring. OK, that fine enough... David also loves fishing and apparently has a little of Ernest Hemingway in him. Our old man and the sea followed the fish more than 30 miles off shore with a 20 fathom line searching for Tuna....... Yup 30 miles in a 20 some odd foot over 50 year old wood boat. Dang......Way to go David! For the record, you can drive to the local Safeway and get tuna...even in a can, and not be in danger of being run over by a freighter ... or Somalian pirates, or a rouge wave, or typhoon, or a large octopus thing!
