A Word To The Wise...Regarding Hardwood Flooring!
Off topic? Not on your life. If you have ever restored a classic boat and spent hrs matching wood grain. DO NOT TRY AND INSTALL A HARD WOOD FLOOR! I thought .. like a fool, I could do it, why not? I have worked on countless boats, I will take extra care in matching grain on the floor and it will look like a beautiful flowing floor! Dear god. That did not work and it was turning into a 3 day job from hell. So after 4 hrs of nothing. Along came Juan....$1.50 a sq foot and it's done.. In 4 hrs. Now if I can get Juan to do my next boat I am all set.......I'll go pick up the drywall screws....

Does your friend do multiple coat of varnish, with sanding between each coat to produce a mirror like finis? Don't walk on it you'll scratch it.
